About YÖS exam
Turkey International Student Admission Exam will continue to be held by ÖSYM as TR-YÖS, with the decision taken by YÖK.
Who can take the TR-YÖS exam?
• Foreign nationals,
• Those who were Turkish citizens by birth but lost their Turkish citizenship by obtaining permission from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to renounce their Turkish citizenship, and those who document that they have a blue card, which is given upon request to those who lost Turkish citizenship,
• While he was a foreign national, he became a Turkish citizen with citizenship acquired later. Those who have acquired citizenship / dual nationals in this situation,
• Those who are TRNC citizens and have GCE AL exam results,
• T.R. Those who have dual citizenship and those who have dual citizenship, one of which is Turkish nationality, if they continue their secondary education abroad before 01/02/2013 and complete the last three years of their secondary education (high school) in a foreign country except TRNC, or if they complete their entire high school education in high schools abroad (except TRNC high schools).

Can I apply to any university with TR-YÖS results?
According to the new decision of YÖK, every university must accept the TR-YÖS results.
How will university preferences be made based on TR-YÖS results?
Since TR-YÖS results are valid for 2 years, TR-YÖS results held in 2023 will also be valid during the university preference period. Candidates can choose universities by participating in the 2023 and 2024 exams. After the universities announce their preference dates, it will be possible to apply to each university separately with the score received.
